Ok, so I decided to return to Middle Earth for another pencil drawing... so I'm nerding out...whatever. IT'S SO FUN.

Goblin King!!

In honor of the release of The Hobbit I decided to have a little fun and try my hand at a version of the Goblin King. I love me some Photoshop, but sometimes it's just sooo nice to work in pencil!

New Billy Goats Gruff Paintings

I included an updated version of the bridge scene with Jethro and Goonch. The second image is a "personality" shot of the brothers Gruff showing Clement yelling at Jethro and the third is the moment of conflict as Dogo rams into Goonch. A seriously big thanks to Rico Jackson for some post-process color help on all these!!!

So... I have to do a bunch of paintings from my Billy Goats Gruff project including for views of the bridge since it is the main location in the story. Here is the first of those views!

Just finished these guys! These are the "final"designs of my version of Billy Goats Gruff! They are, from left, Jethro, Clement and Dogo.

More Project Stuff!!

Since my blog desperately needed an update, I figured I'd post some more stuff I've been working on for our class project.... These are designs for one of the main characters in our piece. It's fun to see how much he has changed already!

Special Project!!

So... for one of my courses the entire class is going to work together to try and make a complete film by the end of the semester. That's just 16 weeks! I was able to make these concept pieces for it over the summer but haven't been able to post them until now. I was given a pretty wide open prompt and we don't have the story nailed down yet, but these were just to get a feel of the world and some possible directions to go in the film. I'm sure there will be more from this project over the course of the semester. Pretty excited!
