The Holidays are here....

One of my classes went to the Franklin Park Conservatory to draw yesterday. I just felt like posting this super quick "sketch and paint" of one of their Christmas displays. Drew the sketch on site, did the painting in Photoshop (instead of real homework....ahhhhh!).

Since the last time I posted was before Thanksgiving and I'm basically just working on stuff for final projects I figured I'd throw some sketches up here to keep the content rolling.

Just did these for a cafe sketch assignment. Thought I would post them here as well. I drew them in pencil and colored them in Photoshop.

Did these at the Ballet Met yesterday. Just posted them on my Cafe Sketch blog, but I was really happy with them so I'm posting them here too.

Ballet Met Sketches

I just posted these on my cafe sketch blog too, but they were too fun to pass up on posting them here too. We went and sketched during a Ballet Met dance class yesterday and it was kick ass. I think I did something like 29 or 30 sketches in about 90 minutes. It was exhausting. Very worth it though.

This is my most recent homework from my Cafe Sketch class, had to draw people (as best we could) in the middle of making some sort of movement.

Cubisized Masterpieces

I also put this on my Cafe Sketch class blog. Our first homework assignment was to take three master works and re-draw them with simplified figures. I chose pieces by Rembrandt, Caravaggio and Gericault.
